Construction

For years, we've dealt with the blacktop area at MSE turning to a sheet of ice in the mornings when the snow on the roof of the main building melts bit by bit, dripping onto the blacktop and causing the issue.

In order to install gutters and downspouts, we first need to install a drainage system, and that is what's happening on the west side of the school this summer.  In subsequent summers, we will install gutters and downspouts and fix siding problems that have been caused by the splashing water as it melts from the roof.

This year, we will also plan how best to restore the blacktop and the items painted on it after all the drainage work is completed and the trenches are filled in.

This is a multi-year project, but step one is finally under way, and we're excited for the safety improvements to come.
